Hercules has arrived; all 51 lbs. of him. He is a gorgeous rust color lab mix.Herc appears to be housebroken and of medium energy, He is about 2 years old. Herc needs work on his manners, but is very quick to learn. He has already learned to sit and wait. He waits for his food and waits at the door before going out. We are also working on stay and down.

Update:
Hercules is settling in and learning the routine of the household. He loves having other dogs to play with, and he runs like the wind around the yard chasing the other dogs and letting them chase him. He loves to go for a walk and walks well on a leash. In the house he enjoys sleeping, chewing on an Nylabone and being petted.
He is eager to learn and very treat motivated. His ?sit? is very good as is his ?wait? which we use before feeding, going in and out of the house, and at the top of the stairs. We are working on ?down? and ?stay?.
Hercules does not do well in a crate and he does have some separation anxiety which is mitigated by having a dog companion. He does well when left at home with the other dogs confined to one room.
Hercules can become excited when playing and at that time will jump up. We are working on that, but at the present time it is not recommended he be with small children as he could accidently knock them over.
Herc is a sweet young dog that just needs some love, training and exercise.
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION ON FILE WITH RUDY'S RESCUE BEFORE CONTACTING OUR FOSTERS ABOUT ANY DOGS. **BEFORE YOU CONTACT THE FOSTER HOME ** If you want more information or would like to meet the dog, you must FIRST fill out an application, have references check, a home check and become approved. For approved homes, dogs over 6 months of age are available for our foster to adopt program. The foster to adopt option is not available to puppies under 6 months of age. Our adoption fee for dogs 1-7 years of age is $250; for dogs under a year, $350; and $200 for dogs seven years or older, or for dogs with serious handicaps. Since we are a volunteer organization funded entirely by contributions, we count on your continuing support as well as your adoption fees to help defray the costs of caring for our foster dogs. We are delighted to accept any amounts over these minimum fees to help other dogs in our care. If you can't help with a donation of money we are happy to have you help with your time.
